Complete Set is gorgeous; Many MINT cards. All cards shipped in Card Saver IV's.

Will include a pack wrapper from the set.

$150 delivered.

An extra good value since the set is pretty heavy.

Requested scans a while ago, never heard anything back, and now it seems that you have sold it after responding to someone else and ignoring two of my requests? If you didn't want to sell it to me, all you had to do was say so. In very poor taste Ray.

Hey Brian and Ray,
What is going on here? It looks as though someone requested info multiple times and wasn't answered...and after that a deal was made? Please help me understand. This is not the way the BST should work, imo, if it is the way it looks (and it very well might not be)...For the most part the first person in should get the first shot...thanks guys......regards

First of all I was not near a computer for most of the Holiday weekend.
Secondly; I travel for a living and have not been able to scan specific cards from the set as requested because I was enjoying the Holidays with family and I am now back on the road.
Thirdly; I have never had an issue on these Boards with the sale or purchase of cards.
Fourthly; Jim's email had been responded to and no other deal had been made until just a few minutes ago.
Lastly; Nowhere in Jims post here do I see the words "I'll take it" which has always been considered the hammer for a sale in all of my dealings here. Scan requests never supercede an "I'll take it" anyway.

I am sorry Jim, that I could not get you the scans you wanted to see over the Holiday weekend, and as I told you, I am now on the road for the remainder of the week. My family and now my job came first. In the meantime another collector has agreed to buy the set.

Leon - I have the utmost respect for your Boards and have been a member here for many years and try my best to do the right thing. I truly value my right to trade, buy and sell here and hope this explanation suitably describes the last few days.

The cards are now sold.

Respectfully,
RayB

Don't wish to call you a liar Ray, but you never responded to my e-mails at all! That is a fact!

Ray....I have seen you on our boards an aweful long time and never have heard of an issue. I put my manager cap on with issues like these. I believe you sent emails but whether they got to Jim or not is another story as I believe him too. So lets let it go and move on. Sorry there was any issue but I am satisfied on both sides. Thanks for the explanation too, Ray....and yes, I agree...family and work come first....ya'll take care....

Jim- I got an email today at work...to join a meeting...and the email got to me an hour after the meeting was over. It was sent from 30 feet away sad.gif...things do happen and Ray has always been very good in the past....

Hi Ray,

Would you consider trading for 1974-1976, 1981 Topps & 1984 Donruss Baseball Starter sets... all our duplicates, we have a post in the '50's-'80's trading Forum. We don't have any basketball to trade.

Thank you,

Mike

Mike - Not really. Just how big are the starter sets? Condition? Which years exactly? Would listen to offer.
Email me.

Dear Ray:

I notice that you you just made a trade for some starter
sets. I just put together my master list of stars form 1954-1976 that I'm puting up for sale. I noticed that two of the sets that you traded for were 74 and 75 topps. I happens to have about:
1975 138 Nr-Mt well centered Commons
1975 150 ex-mt well centered Commons
1975 18 Stars

1974 5 stars ex-mt and Nr-mt
1974 100 commons Ex-ex-mt

I'm selling these cards at very cheap prices.
I totally understand that you just made this deal and
probably haven't even recieved the cards yet. When you do
take some time to go through your cards and see what you need. Then let me know if you are interested.

To All Fellow Board Members,

Last week I proposed a trade with Ray (RayBShotz), several Topps starter sets for his Basketball set via this post and email.

I offered our (I collect with my Boys) raw '70's Topps Baseball duplicates because we have not had many offers to trade lately and I thought we might have better luck offering something else for the cards we needed (his basketball set or cash).

Soon after I made the offer to Ray, we received offers to help us with our collection... I guess collectors read our link. As much as I wanted to trade to obtain the cards we needed, I knew I had an obligation to follow-thru with my offer to Ray (who accepted and told me he would be out of town for a few days).

After some thought, I wrote Ray to explain our situation and offered to do what he prefered... he quickly responded and told us it was okay (to keep our cards and continue with our quest).

I just wanted everyone to know what happened and that Ray was very considerate and understanding... I don't expect this to happen again and promise to follow-thru with any/all trades in the future.

Thank you, Ray

Mike

edit: to add my name
