So they're both spelled wrong?
 Maybe there's one spelled right: "McCosky" Good catch, BTW. I thought I submitted them all to COMC for corrections a year ago. Is this a new find or checklisted somewhere already? Ah, PSA has it: https://www.psacard.com/psasetregist...omposition/594

More than just a recurring print defect; looks like an intentional change to me.

I just use the Standard Catalog John, and you're right no variation listed for Ennis.

I helped write that checklist back in 2004.
There are so many print variations in the set that a catalog would run into the thousands of entries. That dark band seems to happen with grass foregrounds. Musial has it, as i recall.
