Default T207's from Septone on ebay

Posted By: dan mckee

Has anyone else won any of the rare T207s from Harold Wolters aka septone on ebay? I just won my 2nd won from him and am awaiting it. The first one I got from him looks a little funny. The front is dull, doesn't have that shiny gloss and cracking that most T207s have and the back has a stain all around the edge. Did anyone else notice this or did I just get a dull, lackluster card the first time. Dan.

How does everyone thinks this one looks?

He notes there is "slight gloss loss". I only have a few of these but even the well worn ones still have some gloss. He has gotten several positive feedbacks from different buyers on some of the harder T207s. Could they all have been fooled? I am definitely not an expert, I was just curious.

That Downey looks fine to me. I've had a few that had no gloss at all on the front; I think they were like that when issued. Maybe Scott B. will chime in here - he's handled 100's of them.

I doublechecked my Sweeney which is in comparable condition and it is very glossy. The thing I worry about is there is a non-glossy replica set (from the late 80's early 90's) floating around. I don't believe it has surfaced yet on ebay like the T205 and T206 replica sets have but I would be wary.

How the heck did you write this at 8.06 pm while you and I were out to dinner at Yuri's??? Really! How is this possible?

It's bad enough making Bill spend an evening with you, but soiling his reputation by telling everyone about it...that's ugly.

Brian-

The time's in EST... more East Coast bias. Yuri Sushi, by the way, is fantastic.

It's Yuri Sushi, not "Yuri's". If Russians have to get drunk to eat their own cuisine, they're not getting me to try it.

Having been forced to eat lutefisk (sp?) in my youth in Minnesota, I'd steer clear of any similar fish entree. Guess that's why I always passed on sushi...

tbob, I'm right there with on your thought process on fish. I'll eat tuna and salmon if I'm in the mood, but otherwise, to quote the old Arther Treacher's ad, fish go to school to taste fishing.
