Default T202 Oddities

In my 9 years of collecting and following the T202 set I have rarely seen any bad miscuts or oddities. If you have any I would love to see some.

I like the T202s, but I have to stay focused if I'm going to slay the Monster. Someday I would like to own a few T202s.

I also have to agree with you Lee, I can't ever remember seeing any oddities or miscuts in this set either.

I've only dabbled in t202 the last several months, so have no great history watching the set, but there is a slightly miscut WJ t202 on ebay right now:

I've seen many T202s over the years, and the only "miscuts" I've ever seen are ones like this (note the bottom edge), with varying degrees of "trapezoidalness", proving that the cards were cut along the horizontal axis while folded.

The example on ebay is about the max I have seen but I have seen a couple true oddities and wish I had kept scans. I thought I bid strong but to no avail. If any one looking to start collecting their prices have been really down lately.

Thanks for the replies so far,

Lee

Default none for me

I keep an eye out for miscuts and anomolies but don't recall any for T202 besides a few slight ones. Most T cards have some weird ones but not so many for this series....

As a side bar to this thread, I would like to hear some of those with knowledge of this set to weigh in on whether they believe some T202s were folded, and then folded again (all at the factory), thereby creating the "perfect" creases down the center of the card that we sometimes see. I also believe some cards are notched in the center which lends further credence to this theory.

I've always been curious about this and it seems that this would be logical for packaging in a slide and shell box or small cigarette configuration. To the best of my knowledge, however, Hassan never produced a slide and shell.

But some cards have that center crease, and others don't. How would you explain that?

Is there a package from that era other than the box that they might have been distributed in? If this is the case I believe that it is a very good possibility that this is the case because for the mentioned center creases, the notch, and the cards I have seen that have a fold line (not a crease) in the middle that have not been folded.

The cards were almost definately cut when folded at the end panels, due the number of angle cut T202s.

a few more weird cut ones.
The uneven cut ones I think are pretty common though I do really like the miscuts where you can see the next card.
sorry for the crappy scan. The Leifeld /Gibson shows the card underneath but the scan doesnt pick it up very well.

These 2 cards are as close as I have to oddities, looks likes they didn't do a good job of cleaning something:

T202 Matty/Fletcher Green

T202 Collins
