Default Great day at SGC!

What a great experience! Was able to speak with Dave Forman and a couple of the guys in the Boca Raton office. They honestly couldn’t have been nicer and even stuck around to review my T206 Cobb with old label which bumped from a 2 to a 2.5. Did okay on the CJ Cobb too 😬

I wonder if they would of made the cobb a 1.5 from a 2 you would of been so happy

That’s funny. Nah, it’s a solid 2.5...1.5 was never in play

How could someone be convinced they are entitled to a .5 bump at SGC when SGC doesn't even say on their website what a 2 or a 2.5 card even is?

Because the card looked nicer than a 2 and was in an old holder which meant it was graded prior to half grades. Pretty simple really

The grading scale is at the bottom of this page.https://www.gosgc.com/how-it-works/submissions I still think it needs its own page so people can actually find it easier.

Ah. A 2.5 is a 2 with eye appeal. That clears it up.

You’d think we were negotiating a deal on the card. Another way to look at it is it’s halfway between a 2 and 3. For example, your snarkiness is somewhere between a 7 and an 8, so I’d call it a 7.5...see how that works?

No half grades on snarkiness. I think Steve gets the 8.

Not really rocket science.
Nice cards, congrats. I will be giving them some things to grade later this month when they come to our Texas Card Show in Frisco Texas.
