Default How obtainable are the E91 American Caramel Cards?

Posted By: Josh

I know they are not popular amongst a lot of collectors but I am curious about them. Sets A,B and C.... ......Is it pretty easy to put a whole set together? Low grades.......
Thanks in advance!

Hi Josh

Ever since I won an E91 uncut sheet in an auction last year I have been contemplating collecting this set. I have watched these cards on ebay and have noticed a few things. One, is that they are normally found in low to mid-grade, very rarely have I seen a high grade example. Second, is that there are an abundance of these cards which would make it fairly easy to put together. There always seems to be examples for sale on ebay, but as always, you do need some patients when putting any set together.

Good Luck

Jeff W.

I"ve been working on it for a few years, and it's taking longer than I would've thought. The cards come up, but not as often as one would think. When they do come up they aren't nearly as expensive as virtually any other E- series card of the era.

Josh - E91s are some of the best bargains in caramel cards in terms of rarity. From the pop reports it seems any given player has about the same number of E91s as he does E106s and E103s. They are in much less demand, most probably due to the re-usable caricatures used on the fronts.
