Default Cards you like to show

For me it's all about seeing the cardboard. Would love to see your favorite, nicest, worst, rarest...whatever it is let's see some cards.

No offense, Tony, but what was SGC looking at when they graded that card? They do realize that the corners were square when the card was issued and not round, correct? How could they give it anything other than a 1 or possibly even a 1.5, giving them the benefit of the doubt?

Default Rarest=Worst Etc

I think the Peckinpaugh qualifies as the rarest and the worst in my collection. I could only find info on 3 graded copies. But maybe I was doing it wrong.
The Caramel Cobb is my nicest. The Sporting News is my favorite. The last two took forever to find. I know they aren't pre-war. Still some of my favorites.

Loose definition of card but I rarely get to show this one off. Here's a 1903 Carl Horner of Monty Beville. He's wearing the first ever Yankees uniform and was a member of their inaugural squad. Might as well throw in a Bob Ewing for good measure:

Here is one of my favorite scans from a few years ago when I was trying to put 345 Old Judge cards in alphabetical order. I had to stop and step back to take a picture because it looked pretty cool laid out like that.

Being mainly post-war i love these LEAFS:

Here is the other, despite the wear, its pretty hard to come by

My only pre-war card i have currently and i showed it before.
Its my 1st Cobb, it was unique with double names top/bottom, and 'raw' making this a great buy.
Hope to add a few more pre-war cards in near future

Foremost, the 'cream of my crop' and the 'white whale' is my 52 Mick, which i proudly display as my avatar

If it weren't for the stories and the people - like Shoeless Joe, baseball would be too one-note for my liking......capturing his image either during or close to the black sox scandal.

Donnelly was the last card I needed for the set, became my avatar, and through the help of others on the board, finally found a new home.

Kenny:

Some of those Billiken cards appear to have black borders, never seen them before. Or are they part of the background that SGC has inserted to keep the card from moving?

Thanks John. I appreciate it.

Phil, all of the Billikens are standard - none have black borders. It must be the insert that is giving that illusion.
