I know it is still some time away, but what is the best part of going to Nationals? I have never been but since I have been getting into the hobby a lot more that I used to be, it appears like it may be a lot of fun to go. Do people generally do a lot of buying / selling / trading there?

I am pretty much only into T206s at the moment. Historically speaking (to the extent anyone knows), is there generally a lot of T206 buying / selling / trading possibilities at Nationals?

Thanks very much for any insight before I book a trip to Cleveland! I also have to say that as a relatively "new"comer, I am very much appreciative for all I have learned from this Board.

Regards,
Adam

Having dinner with Moderator Dude!

Max

(As for cards, it certainly seemed to me there were lots of vintage cards, including t206s. Perhaps it was because there was less shiney stuff than at the last National I was at. As for the prices, I couldn't say, but Leon's table was a hub of activity)

Adam -

You will LOVE the National !!! There's the network 54 dinner on Thursday night & Mastro is having a live auction on Friday night. You'll get to meet many of the other collectors/dealers from this message board !!! I've been to a couple of previous Nationals, but this will be my first time at the network 54 dinner !!! I can't wait !!!

I know if I told my wife I was going to Cleveland for a card show she would immediately destroy my credit cards. I need a good excuse for the trip. I don't think going to a Net54 dinner is going to get me any closer to Cleveland...

Hi Guys,
Leon's wallet looks a lot like George's on Seinfeld. It is so big he has to take it out when he sits down, so he won't be lopsided. I think he used it as his personal filing cabinet....Get this man a PDA and a moneyclip!!!

Be well Brian

PS Or be like Kramer, who never carries cash.

Which hotel is the one most out of towners are choosing? I know Leon mentioned he and Scott B. were staying at one by the airport (?) and that it had a shuttle service to the convention (?) and several others mentioned that same hotel (but I'll be darned if I can remember the name).
Thanks.

Steve- this is the first time I looked as this thread and saw your question, but Brian beat me to the answer (which I knew right away).

So that trivia question is: what did George put in his wallet that finally caused it to rip apart and scatter all over the street?
