Thought I would get this started a day early because it was taking quite a while for the last thread to load.
Thanks to Scott B. for the E94 Turner which will arrive soon. Scott assures me the markings are on the holder not the card and that the background which looks lava lampish is actually solid green.

A little behind on scanning and posting - a few from the past month or more.

Joann

The BW Rossman I've had for awhile, but recently picked up the regular version to go with it from Rob Fouch on BST.

Griffith from Trae, Chesbro from Bruce K, and the Jennings PC from Joe D - all from the BST as well.

I know it's a bit early but here it is. Reached my T206 goal for the year with the Johnson pick up.

Bob- I've got a Klein for auction, that's the good news. The bad news is you will have to buy the other 23 with it.

Joe Brennan:

Great looking Johnson! Nice pickup.

Adam Baxter:

Great pickup on the New Bedford postcard. I was watching it for a while, then somehow removed it (accidentally) from my watch list and forgot about it.

Thanks Jeff. It's a classic pose - well, more like an action than pose - that hasn't been represented in my collection since I sold my T3 Jennings. I'm happy to have it.

Joann, I've got a T3 Jennings that I just love. Great pose, great story behind the man. And a large part of the early success of one of my alltime favorites (thanks to Scott Elkins):

Jeff - if my T3 Jennings had looked that good I'd probably still have it! And ... I'll trade you the Jennings PC for the Cobb even up. But the offer is only good until midnight.

Kind of funny how they seem to ignore the 1919 series scandal! Looks like going to be some interesting reading.

Joe amazing pins!, Jeff super T3 of Jennings always had soft spot for that one.

After seeing the Johnson PSA 4 on ebay blow for 14k, figured these would fit nice for the price.

As most here know, I collect 19th Century Detroit, in particular, items relating to the 1887 Championship team. Lately (~2 years ago), I broadened my scope to include cards of Detroit players who were never pictured with Detroit. Sy Sutcliffe is one such player, he played 4 games with Detroit in 1887, the last four Championship games after Bennett was injured. Charlie Ganzel would normally catch when Bennett wasn't available but he was covering 1st for the "lame" Dan Brouthers. So Detroit signed him with 4 games left in the 15 game World Championship (Detroit already having won 8 games hence crowned World Champions before Sutcliffe signed). Sutcliffe would stay with Detroit during 1888 and then went to Cleveland with several other Detroits after the team disbanded.

So here he is, the fifth and final pose was purchased recently and still needs to be graded (thanks Toby). It might raise the average grade just a bit Nothing really tough about these cards, just thought I'd post them all together since I hadn't previously.

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

John, what book ? If one were to be done I'd need lot's of help from Jay Miller and others OR perhaps Jay will take it on with the help of me and others . . . time will tell.

And look at you, I wouldn't call your latest two OJs "commons" ! Nice cards, congrats.

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

Jason: Here's a better look at the T207 McGraw. Hard to get a decent image to post with a digital camera- got to get me a scanner one of these days. Seems like most of McGraw's cards I've seen are portrait cards and of the cards where he's playing ball I think the T207 is the nicest (even if was made after his playing days were over).

A very difficult to find OJ. I would be curious to know where you were able to find it [and, if you would be willing to share -- a ballpark price]. I've only seen one other in the past 2-3 years, and that was an example that Levin recently sold.
