Wondering how many cards in the 1910 T212 series have this background variation, and which color is rarer. They're both 175 series cards, and the only difference is the green versus the blue field behind them. Is the blue field an error, or is this a common occurence that I should add to my checklist? |

My opinion, the light blue Ping Bodie card is missing the yellow in the printing process. Notice the glove and sleave are slightly different, missing the yellow as well. I dont believe it is a true variation, just a pring flaw. Its an interesting card, I bid on it and lost. Frank |

I knew there was a color missing, I just couldn't figure out which one since there is nothing yellow on the card that would make it obvious that it was missing. |

Jay, if you need to paint something green, but all you have is blue paint and yellow paint, what do you do? (if you get this right we will graduate you to third grade). |

if all I have is blue and yellow paint and need to paint something green, I walk out to the pasture and pull up a clump of grass. I also do this if I need to paint something brown. |

I gave it a shot as well, but lost out on the card. It is not a variation, just a printing freak but still interesting. The color variations in the Obak sets involve the 1910 series' and are contained in the 150 back subset. I have the Mundorf on ebay now which is supposedly the toughest. Besides Mundorf, Willis, McCardle and Griffin, which are the most obvious and the Big 4 of the subset, there are subtle color variations involving almost all the 150 backs. Indeed, there are even color variations among the 150 backs as there exists cards of Krapp with 150 series backs which have subtle differences in the color and shading of his hat, etc. |
