Default George Close Candy ( e94) Question

Posted By: Bob

I recently picked up an e94 card of Joe Lake. After inspection I noticed that the edges of the card do not appear straight but more ruff or they appear 'hand cut'. I've noticed other e94 cards that were graded with similar edges.

Is this normal for e94 cards or is this card just trimmed?

How were these candy cards were originally manufactured? Were they 'hand cut' from sheets?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Bob
