Your Top 5 of most Aesthetically pleasing card sets before 1945
My vote no particular order Honest / Duke Cabinets, S81 Silks, W600's, Rose Postcards, Creole Cigaretts PCL,.
Now I know I am leaving out many great sets like T204's , Goodwin Champions , Kimbells, Mayo's ,First Year Old Judges. And my list has changed over time. My Dad kept his 1941 Playball set from when he was a kid. When he would show them to me when I was very young I was blown away by how cool they were. He had 1 1934 Goudey a Mickey Cochrane and That was my favorite card set for a long long time. But every card on my list completly blew me away the first time I saw / Handled one. Would love to hear other love stories. Jonathan |
