Phil GarryI believe these cards are the first of thier type ever graded by any of the major grading companies. I owned two album pages produced in conjunction with the 1923-24 Tomas Gutierrez Cuban League cards (listed in the 2008 Standard Catalogue along with the card issue). These album pages depicted the identical images of the Tomas Gutierrez cards for each player and included ten images per page on a heavier cardboard stock than the card issue. The blank-backed cards being sold here have all been hand-cut from the two album pages and have subsequently been graded and encapsulated by Global Authentication as "Authentic". This procedure is identical to those collectors who purchase the early 1900's children's notebook covers, cut out the individual cards pictured and submit them to PSA, SGC, etc. for grading.

Just about all of the cards are in MRMT-MT condition with the exception of mosquito holes found on a few, which was common to Cuban League paper products during the 1920's.
