Careful, they are creating these fakes with the top right corner of the front properly colored in now! The top left stain on back is still the same, do not get burned by this doctored fake!

I've gotten to the point where if I see the word "LOOK" at the end of an auction, I will do the opposite, because almost all the time, it means someone is selling reprint or trying to pass off a fake as a real.

As there are new collectors viewing these posts who may say, "Look at all these fakes! What can I do?", I point out that it is not difficult to identify most auctions you should avoid-- even if you aren't an expert on 1932 US Caremels.

For example, in another post the very first thing I recommended is that beginners look for guarantee and return policies that are good. This seller says, "Sold as is. All sales are final." If you agree to this, aren't you agreeing that he can send you a fake and you won't be able to return it? Even if you can't tell the differenct between a T206 Ty Cobb and a 1988 Fleer Tom Glavine, does this sound like desirable conditions under which to bid?

As a followup to David's post above, it's always interesting to check the seller's eBay id history. This guy has changed his ID five times since late last August, and once went by the id of "rollsroyce-reprints".
