I'm at the National in Cleveland and don't have access to my computer scanner but I picked up two cards last night for my BB HOF RC collection: 1916-20 Big Head Strip Card Sam Rice & 1913 T200 Boston Braves w/Rabbit Maranville.

After weeks of searching, I finally managed to pick up another Diamond Stars card for a decent price. Anyone else notice the absolutely rediculous prices for these on the bay recently (especially in mid-grade+)?

I've been working on a PSA 5 set for awhile (about 20% complete), but finally decided I just can't compete with the rising prices anymore. So I decided PSA 4's are going to have to be okay too.

Thanks Neal -
I've turned over a new leaf recently. I now own more Psa-2's & Sgc-30's than I ever have.
Many looking like this one. No longer do I buy the grade over the card.
Overlooking cards like this simply due to the numerical grade given is a crime.

Tony

Tony - I couldnt agree more. Im just disappointed that other collectors such as yourself are going to be competing with me for cards like that BTW - where did you get the Walsh? I never saw it on ebay, though there were several nights forgot to search.

Hi Josh -
Actually a couple days ago I was running through Tony Arnold's website -aka- Tonyetrade,
(who isn't me by the way)and found it.
He had just listed it and I snagged it quickly.
It is a beauty. It's kinda neat finding lower graded cards that present like this.
Makes it fun....

Dennis,

I have Mike Mowrey on the way, so the remaining Red I need is Bob Bescher (Hands In Air).
I have tried to buy decent, but lower grade cards, to keep expenses down. So far, so good.
Thanks for asking.

RC

Thanks Andy...the back is pretty horrid with about 40% of the black gone from a clean scrapbook removal. Its in a SGC 10 holder. I couldn't pass it up because Trenchard's image was so clear. There were two others that I saw at the show that technically were better but didn't have the eye appeal of this one. I'll send you an email in the next couple days with details.

Danny:

If you pick up the latest issue of Old Cardboard Magazine, there is a very detailed article about the 1920's-1930's Exhibit Cards with information on the various colors issued.
