Default Babe Ruth Story Photos

Was over in storage the other day and ran across these. I don't know much about photos. Are these anything? Thanks in advance.

They're called still photos. They were made by the movie studio and used for publicity and promotion for the film. There were still photos, usually a set, for every movie. Movie studios had their own on staff photographers to shoot the stills and star portraits. The still photographer would be on the set during the production of the move, taking photots.

Thanks. I was wondering what the stamping and embossing on the back meant? Where these used to print something? Or are they just copies of copies etc. thanks for the help.

They were often sent to newspapers and magazines, so can have back stamping just like news photos.

Thanks for the help. They don't fit anything I collect and I have more than enough stuff for the walls. I'm going to put them on eBay and see what I get for them.
