Nice Cycle Colton.

Phillippe had a pretty good pitching record in the majors 189-109 started
his major league career in 1899 with a 21-17 record.

Default Zach Wheat

Full pack of 10. Any one here interested in smoking a 110 year old American Beauty cigarette _____

This Zach Wheat card was my first AMERICAN BEAUTY 460. This card motivated me to start my AB 460 back run. AMERICAN Lithographic printed 74 subjects with the AB 460 back.

After many years, I now have 73 of them..... I still need Camnitz (hands above head) to complete this run. Hey guys, I will generously reward you, if you can help me find Camnitz.

When it comes to T206, quite often I prefer Piedmont Vanilla. Sometimes I have a hankering for Sweet Caporal Chocolate Chip.

Nice AB Ted.

Nice mix of backs Colton.

Nice 42 Scott I have only seen one of him in a factory 42 come up for sale
(same one sold twice) and it was very trimmed.

Nice vanilla Jacklitsch Brian.

Default Mike Donlin

"Turkey Mike" was quite a character. He was the "Talk of the Town" in New York City. Not only for his BB prowess, but also his vaudeville
performances on Broadway (with his wife). Mike would have been a "contender" for the BB Hall of Fame with his career BA = .333 and a
Slugging Avg. = .468 (higher than many stars in the Deadball Era), if he had just devoted more of his time to BB.

Any given time when the TCM channel is featuring Silent Movies, there is a good chance you'll see Donlin in the cast. He was featured in
53 movies. The most notable ones being "The General" and "Slide Kelly Slide".

Jack Chesbro still holds the record, after 117 years, for most Wins (41) in a single season in 1904. But, that awesome accomplishment that year was "off-set" in the Play-Off series
with the Boston Americans. The NY Highlanders lost the Pennant that year to Boston when in the 9th inning......with 2 Outs and 2 men in scoring positons, Chesbro had 2 Strikes on
the Batter....and then commited what's referred to in BB as a "cardinal sin". Chesbro failed to "waste" the 3rd pitch. Boston scored and they Won the Pennant.

But this story does not end here. John McGraw and the NY Giants refused to play the World Series in 1904. It is sort of complicated, but essentially John McGraw wanted to play the Highlanders in the World Series.

Please accept my apologies Bill. Sorry that your birthday card arrived a day late. No excuses, but I still blame the Postal Service for not delivering it on time.
