Default Anyone know this scene from wall mural??

I’ve been meaning to post this image for some time - I revived this Great Wall mural last year for Christmas from my family but no one quite knows what the scene might be from

Does anyone have any clues on where/when this scene might be from? (I included several shots including with my card display for that wall of my “card cave”

Thanks for any leads!

Jeff

1894 Temple Cup. It is based on the magnificent print by Hy Sandham.

Amazing! I am never disappointed when I have a baseball mystery to solve… I just found a great blog detailing this as a game between the New York Giants vs the Baltimore Orioles at the Polo Grounds in NY

The author has researched so well that he even noticed a fan in the stands who is likely a self portrait of the artist himself, Hy Sandham.

As I said before - Amazing! And thank you so much for the information - this mural will now mean so much more to me!

Thx again!

Jeff

One of my favorite old baseball paintings. That's awesome that you have such a large image of it to display cards in front of. Very cool.
