Default Verifying Authenticity of W600's

Posted By: Phil Garry

I recently purchased a W600 and want to make sure it is an original and not a reprint. The center photo has been trimmed from the borders so it measures considerably short on all four sides. My main questions is should the photo, under magnification, be an array of black and white print dots or should it be like a real photo with one continuous image?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The genuine W600 player images have an ink dot pattern. They are ink and printing press prints, not real photographs.

The dot effect is quite apparent in this scan:

Phil - I saw that one and the Wagner on ebay - both are authentic in my opinion.
