Default T201 Double Folders - size question

I just picked up my first T201 and I have a size question. One site says L/R should be 2 and 1/4 and another site says 2 and 3/16.

Mine seems to measure 2 and 2/16. The sides show some uneven wear but not necessarily what you’d see in a trimmed card.

I have tried to match up things in the photos to see where their placement is relative to the side borders but there are many images that all appear to be a little different so that really isn’t any help.

Is my card trimmed or could there be a slight L/R size variation?

SGC correctly said mine is trimmed. Look at the side edges of mine. I think it would be hard to get side edges like yours by trimming.

A number of the T201s I have are shaped like the one being asked about by the OP. I was never sure why they were like that. Was that just how they were cut sometimes?

They were cut in the folded position.

Almost all I have measure 2-1/8" in width, with a few measuring slightly smaller. I got them from different sources over several years. None look trimmed, but some are oddly shaped, like the Downs shown below, probably due to being cut when folded over, as Scott mentioned. I am not sure why T201 cards would be identified as being 2-3/16" or 2-1/4" wide...I don't remember seeing any such monsters.

As long as your T201 doesn't look like this Hartzell, I think you are fine. Although I don't think the Hartzell has been trimmed either (it has a slight angle cut, where it measures 1-3/4" across the middle fold, and slightly wider at about 1-13/16" at top and bottom).

So it seems that the general consensus here is that my card isn’t trimmed. How do we explain the size variation?

See my post which I submitted just a couple of minutes before your most recent. I think those larger width sizes are just plain wrong.

Thank you, Brian. Just saw your post. I hope they were wrong with their sizes because this card is a beauty.
