As someone who has just recently returned to the hobby and can now enjoy some of the vintage cards that I used to admire, I have found this forum to be a wonderful exchange in which to hear some thoughts from seasoned veterans of the trade. One of the topics that I have found quite interesting is that of grading company reliability. From what I have gathered, BVG, GAI, PSA and SCG are just about the only reliable grading companies. The stories of other grading companies operating under flexible rules is concerning for the hobby. On that note, I would like to hear what some of the hometown experts have to say about this 1939 Joe Dimaggio, which looks fantastic, but one can only assume that it might be trimmed according to the community belief that PRO is the grading company you go to with a trimmed card...thoughts? |
