Default Has anyone purchased from this seller?

Posted By: Judge Dred

There is a seller on ebay that has a lot of vintage material. I checked the feedback and I saw positives left for nice cards from past auctions. Here is a sample of what is being sold:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31722&item=5119272758

I didn't recognize any of the buyers and I was wondering if anyone from this board purchased anything from this person. I saw John (I presume) from fullcountbcc bidding on a Ruth from this person. That in itself almost lends credibility to the auction.

Is there any information available about this seller and his goods?

Thanks

they are in Ft Worth. I go there weekly if not daily (was there this evening). I can always help with sellers in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.....whatever that's worth. This card looked a little "white" but good. Easier/better to tell in person....too hard to tell from this scan...later....ps....I just looked at his last month of "not" private auctions and it was all Goudeys...baseball and others....with all positive feedback. Most likely with this taken into account it will be a good deal for someone....imo

Leon,

Maybe you might contact this person and maybe you can help him out. It'd be a shame to see this person selling himself short like this. Who know's he might even appreciate the help and you might even get "Lucky" - he might even consider giving you a deal on the whole batch of cards.

I saw his non-private feedback also. He had a positive for a 33G Ruth he sold for $235 and I'm somewhat amazed that he can be this unknowing. Maybe he's got me fooled or maybe he's just an unwitting fool.

If you do check it out, please let me know how it turns out!

Unless the buyer reads the board and asks me I will probably stay out of it. It's not really my deal and I don't see too many warning flags here. I think the buyer just got a good deal. Not really my place to get in the middle of it, I don't think. I like to help people when there is an issue. I just don't see one here that can't be handled by the two parties. The offer that I made is is still good though (for board members). Enough crap of my own to stay busy........later
