Default WTB used scanner

Hello everyone, I am new to the scanning world, tell the truth I never scanned a card, always took pics off my cell phone, but now that I have completed the 1935 National Chicle Set I am in search of a decent scanner for a reasonable price, pm with what you have and any advice on which scanners are best, advice how to use it to get best scans, anything would be helpful

Thanks Tucker

Doing a search on scanners in these forums will give you all the info you need. Cliff note version - get something with CCD technology.

FWIW, based on these boards I recently purchased a Cannon 900f Mark II.

Lower Cannon models also have CCD scanners. Epson also has some scanners people like.

Good luck,
Dave

I purchased an older scanner on Ebay (Canoscan 5600F) that has CCD technology for $45 delivered and it works great. CCD technology does make a huge difference when scanning graded cards.
