Especially like the one page piece written by Burdick on his progress with the cataloging at the Met.

The discussion about the Met is of course a highlight. Even then, there was concern that a collection of cards would be lost to the general public, and we are still having that debate today. I for one feel that the collection has been made too difficult for most people to see; however, if they loosened their policies they would be deluged with requests to see it, which would be a huge distraction to the museum (the people who work there are a touchy bunch, no doubt). It's an age old debate.

Default press release

My favorite blurb in it is the press release for The Card Collectors Society. It seems like all we have to do is look backwards 60 years to see what we will be debating today!! The dues were $1 every six months and they even tell you who you can make the check out to, which is a huge plus on that large of an amount. (back then I guess a buck bought something)

Also interesting is the 1948 meeting scheduled to be at Dr. Kurzrok's house on E96th Street is a five minute walk to the Metropolitan Museum.
