E106 comparison and dilemma
Posted By: leon
I have a good problem. I am struggling to decide which one of these to keep for my collection. I have had the Matty for many years. It has Much better gloss on the front than the Wags. It also has a "not too obtrusive" crease at the bottom. I already have an E92 Crofts Candy Matty in about the same condition....The backs of both of these are about the same...some staining and no paper loss. Which one to keep? Maybe someone's opinion will help me make up my mind....thanks in advance... |

i would keep the wanger. the registration on the matty makes it less attractive. |

I'm with David on this one. The Matty duck lip affect was the deal breaker for me. |

I agree - the E106 Matty almost always has that edge on his lip and it makes it less desirable; keep the Wags with the caramel stains. |

You really do have a strong constitution as a type card collector. |

I agree with the others. I'd keep the Wagner for the reasons mentioned. |

I'd definitely stick with the Wagner... I generally care more about the art on the front than what's on the back, so if you already have the Matty E92 I'd toss the E106. |

I'd keep the Mathewson ,just not a fan of that Wagner pose. |

Put me in the Wagner column, also. That crease on the Matty decides it for me. |

The Matty pose is much more attractive, but you already have it on the e92 Crofts candy. Keep the Wags. |

I go with keeping the Wagner too. I like the design and the overall look. |

I like the Matty just because I thinks it's one of the best "E" cards of him. IMO both the Wagners in that series don't really resemble him that much (especially the bloated throwing one) |
