Default 1939 Centenial (sic) Stamp set- HOF collectors?

Recently I added a few of the 1939 Centenial (sic) stamps to my collection. Sort of hard to believe they misspelled "Centennial" on the stamps, but oh well.

I am somewhat interested in HOF collecting. Does anyone know if there are any "cards" (loosely defined term) that are legitimate, earlier cards of Bulkeley? Also, any other info about this set of 25 stamps would be appreciated. regards

Leon, I never noticed the "Centenial" spelling on the front!

They came as a set with a small album (more like a pamphlet really) that you see from time to time. The stamps are surprisingly tough to find, especially if looking for a particular player. I am not aware of anything "baseball related" made before these that featured Bulkeley that in any way could be deemed a "card" even by the loosest of definitions. Bulkeley was only involved w/ baseball for a very short time during his life and is arguably the most undeserving of BBHOF member of all time...I mean really, Bulkeley is in the Hall but A. J. Reach isn't?

Leon:

Here are two items, a c1880's Matthew Brady Cabinet Card and a 1908 George Wright (not the ballplayer) Postcard. I used to own the postcard and have been searching for the cabinet card for a long time, good luck ever finding this one.................

Default Thanks!!

Thanks Guys...and my guess is if that cabinet came to market it would fetch a pretty penny.....

These little stamps are kind of neat (and cheap except for a few high priced BIN's)

Here's the stamp album (I believe, since mine doesn't have any stamps in it)
