Default Antique Wood Bowling Ball with case

Posted By: Ben

An interesting item - a wood bowling ball with case. I'm guessing there aren't many bowling collectors out there but thought someone here might know when this is from and how much it's worth. I am looking to sell this for a fair price!

Default Antique Wood Bowling Ball with case

Ben, my brother has a couple given to him from my father. I followed a couple auctions on them in the past and they seened to sell in the $200-$400 range. Granted it's been a few years ago. I've never seen a case like that and wonder if it wasn't made by the owner. The bowling cases I've seen were more like basketball holders. They were round canvas with two leather handles. This site says that the wood bowling balls were made into the early 1900's but I thought they were made later than that.

Here's one I found on ebay. They must not be selling as good as they use to.
