Default Yes read some

Started it, about 20% through. Excellent, like his earlier book on Radbourn. Brings you back to that time of the wild days of baseball.

I haven't read it yet, but I bet I've gotten 20 unsolicited emails about this darn book. I've never seen a baseball book backed by so heavy an ad campaign!

Thanks, guys. I'll order it.

I typically give away my baseball books after reading them, as I have very little room. It would be great if we could establish something for books like this, where we circulate them via media mail. Perhaps some sort of virtual library?

Please let me know if anybody has a cheap copy of the Von de Ahe book. Eveytime I look for it, the price is over $50. The Beer and Whiskey League book and Von der Ahe books all cover that really neat era of baseball that not many people know about. The books written about this era bring the Old Judge cards to life.

3/4's thru the book. He does bounce around alot, but it's great to read about that time period. I did very much enjoy Fifty-nine in 84, a book about the Providence Grays and Radbourne.
