Default Weather at your house

I took this picture a couple hours ago. We have had 4 days of crap weather. Today wasn't bad just 30 mph winds. The previous 2 days was blizzard conditions with 30+ mph wind with 50+ mph gusts. Gotta love that sideways snow. Then luckily the day before that it was mostly rain and slush or we would have gotten a lot more snow.

Looks like it might be a day or 2 before we can grill and use the picnic table. It is a warm 15 out now. The next 7 days will have double digit below zero lows. Highs will vary between 9 to -10 for those 7 days.

What is it like at your house?

It was in the 40's F this morning, which is cold here, so I had to turn on the fire pit while I worked in the yard

Looks beautiful.

My neighbor is just wet and windy and overcast so nothing to take a picture of.

In Spokane WA, we have had snow on the ground for 6 weeks, temps have not risen above freezing. I waited to long to put Christmas lights up. We got an additional 3 inches yesterday, and today temps are 10 degrees with negative temps overnight.

10 degrees today (Spokane), not sure what it was with windchill. But we sure had a great time. My wife wasn't as gung-ho as I was, but she persevered in frigid temps.

1,200 Scientists and Professionals Declare: “There is No Climate Emergency”

https://dailysceptic.org/2022/08/18/...ate-emergency/

They blow up the effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, but ignore any beneficial effects. “CO2 is not a pollutant,” it says. “It is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth; additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yield of crops worldwide.”

We are having a long cold winter. It is supposed to be 7 tonight with a high of 28 tomorrow. Not sure what the normal low is but the radio said the normal high today is 50. The extended forecast doesn't look much better and way below normal.

We are having a very pleasurable week in the 80s after being in the 90s last week (Spokane). Going back into the 90s this weekend. Summertime is wonderful in the PNW.

Still hot here. The State Fair is happening(ending today) a few blocks from my house. Our average high is 80 degrees. The last 3 days have been triple digits with today and yesterday setting new record highs.

Kinda normal as Fair week is usually very hot or we get rain everyday with an occasional nice week mixed in.

We had one of the mildest summers I can remember. It was just weird. We kept waiting for the triple-digit slam, but Arizona seemed to get it instead. That remnant of the hurricane in Mexico that blew through was even more out of character. My house got nearly 4" of rain in a two-day period--we average 16" a year and nothing from May to November. It completely re-set the desert flora blooms. We put in a zero-scape years ago and in the winter, we often have a complete lawn of native grasses that all die off by July. Within two days of the storm ending, we had another carpet of fresh grass. Some of the plants grew so fast that we have to get in a brush remover a year ahead of schedule to push it all back.

It started raining here about 4pm yesterday. It was a light rain and turned into snow a little before noon today. We ended up with about 3 inches of snow before it decided to quit.

It is supposed to start snowing again tomorrow morning about sunrise. There is between a 98-100% chance of snow from 8am until 10pm. Their best guesstimate is 12-18 total inches of snow before it is over.

Anyone else having beautiful weather like me.

Almost forgot to add the nice 25-35mph breeze out of the NNW so it doesn't feel too warm.

Driving to hockey early morning Saturday and it was -8 degrees before the sun came out. Spokane, WA. My sister-in-law in MT was in the cold zone on Friday/Saturday with -30 temps.

Seattle rarely gets snow or ice. Nobody buys snow tires. when it snows even a dusting they cancel everything. The pic is from 2008, a bus hanging over the edge of Intestate 5.

I grew up in Montana for elementary 1991 - 1996. Never once had a single snow day. Never once had an indoor recess. Moved to Spokane WA in 1996, and first day of school it was barely raining and recess was in the gym. My sister and I were so confused!

LOL, yes pretty much the whole coast shuts down with a dusting of snow. The wife and I was out in Portland visiting my sister in the late 90s. We got up and was going to Seattle that day. My sister was like no it is snowing you can't travel. I grew up in rural South Dakota so to me that was a nice day. She said she was not worried about my driving but said someone who had no idea how to drive in snow would run into me.

Snowstorm in Spokane yesterday, up to 10 inches in places. Took a personal day to enjoy the powder before it rains on Saturday. Went snowshoeing. Car thermometer said it was 10 degrees outside when I started my walk.

Beautiful pictures. We got around 3 inches of white stuff this morning. Saturday morning is supposed to be -20. Then it will finally warm back up to the high 20s to low 30s after that.

We have had a break from the snow/cold for a while now. It has been in the lower 40s for the last week and that is really warm for here. It has been so warm almost all the snow had melted.

That was until today. It has been snowing all day and is expected to snow for another 3 to 4 hours. We have got around 5 or 6 inches so far today.

Got about a foot or so here in CT the other day. Probably the most we’ve had at one time in a couple years, but it was nice and fluffy so made for an easy cleanup.
