Default Mantle - boyer

I know there supposedly were illegitimate Mantles floating around that spurred an FBI sting, but this one looks good. Boyer probably also but other samples of his autograph were slightly more simple in the lettering. A good place to check is www.psacard.com and look up samples of Boyer's signature through the years. i use that resource when I want to be confident with what I'm considering buying if I have doubts.

Great feedback. I use that resource often, including comparing to these autographs. I could match both up, but posted to make sure there wasn't something I've overlooked.

Confirmation (or rejection) from this group gives me confidence how to move forward.

Mantle is good. Boyer looks good but I admit I have not studied him a lot although I have had a few legitimate examples over the years.

Here is a signed Snapshot I have of Kenny. 100% authentic, it's a very simple auto. Dare I say one of the worst I've seen from a 50s player, but it has its charm.

Probably tougher than mantle to put together a signed career run of in terms of scarcity.

I personally don't like your Ken, he never closed the bottom of his B or curled his K back like that.

Great observations, Lucas!

His signature did vary over the years that I got him to sign my cards, and I found some PSA examplars where the B is closed and some where the K is curled, albeit not as exaggerated as this one. I was less comfortable with the Boyer than the Mantle too as the O and Y connect, but I have seen that variation as well.

Your feedback is very helpful. If anyone else has comments, they would be appreciated.

I do believe that particular Mantle is good. I don't know enough about Kenny Boyer's signature to make a guess on that one. In this case the Mantle is the primary signature you are looking for, albeit Boyer is rare due to his young death.
