danger signs.....private auction, new seller, wire transfer only, incorrect grammar.

On top of it the wording seems very similiar to a recent seller that was Naru'd located in the same region.

If one is worried about whether or not he owns the card, ask him to provide an image of the card/holder with a quarter (or similar currency) on top, and/or the back of the card. If he owns the card, this shouldn't be a problem.

There was a recent case of a guy selling a PSA graded T206 Wagner using the exact image from a Sportscardplus auction. Upon my advice, the potential buyer asked the seller to provide different images of the card, including one with a quarter on top. Strangely, the potential buyer never heard back fromt he seller.

This picture should finally put to rest the rumors that Henry is just a picture I cut out of a PETA magazine.

I like the fact that he is willing to refund shipping charges even though he is paying them, lol.

David,

First of all, that's a large rat, not a dog. Second, that hardly looks like a quarter...and even if it was, you probably superimposed it using some fancy photoediting software.

and where is the picture with the quarter over it as you state is a good idea for proof. I should have posted a picture of the 65 Slocum books I had with a quarter over it so Pete could have a laugh. What happened to the guy posting the scan of SCP's Wagner?
Do these people ever get suspended or just have the auctions shut down?

The SCP Wagner was auctioned at Yahoo! It was the old chesnut of private auction/didn't meet reserve/contact the underbidders.

The auction has been taken down so the best I could do is the PSA 8 Ruth from the other post... This was a pretty choppy 5 minute job, but bottom line is - does the quarter prove a non-PETA picture? I think not... well, maybe... but, after all, how cool would it be if you could teach him to fetch high grade cards?

JON, your dog stole my RUTH card!!!

I think that makes you the new owner at whatever price I determine?

After all, you would pay anything to make the dog happy, right?

PS - Can I hire your dog to help my card get more interest from potential buyers?

I think its a picture from PETA.... But, I do have a dog - a different dog - and I'm sure he can help a little, especially if you need your Ruth card eaten! He is great at eating.

Have you always owned the dog??

Maybe we can say that he was once owned by Babe Ruth's daughter and we sell them both as a "package deal"?

How is the centering on your dog? Is he slabbed?
