Default Detroit Tiger mini bat

A friend of mine has this and is looking for information (more than I can give him) on whether it was given away at a park or for sale, current value, rarity?

It is 17.5 inches and in decent shape with a bit of staining (spots?) down by the Tigers stamp on the barrel. I think it dates from 1958-1960 if my little bit of research is right but would love ideas and opinions of more experienced bat people.

Thanks for any help...
Joshua

I'm definately far from an expert but if you type adirondack mini bat on ebay you will see similar ones like this one...which unfortunately sell for less than $20. I've seen these mostly listed as 1970's mini bats. That being said yours could be an older version of these bats but can't imagine it being worth much more. I wish it were more valuable as I have an identical version of yours that is of the Pirates. Still a cool display or companion peice for a collection.

50s or 60s and I see them all the time in antique shops around Detroit for $15-$20
