Check the 1980s price books to see what they used to sell for before the internet. They were highly valued, even before beanie babies.

If you wanted to avoid eBay, this woman seems to broker collections and looks to have a pretty solid history doing it - https://www.mysteifflife.com/need-to-sell-a-collection

Your right that eBay is probally best call for the gold button years of steiff aniamals/ puppets. There are some good doll/toy auctions that you could consign to. But know they are in great shape they are not rare like the stuff from 1st half century. Good luck with selling.
A recent pickup of mine for resale purpose is this c1910 13" split face, blue eyed, all origainal steiff mohair boy, jointed doll with only one gaither shin guard that also has 4 extra Steiff button ( never seen another shoe like it). I'm also actively trying to find the best possible auction house or outlet to consign. Any interest or information anyone has please PM me. |

Well there’s a let down, sounds like you are stuck with eBay which would be worst case for me.
