Default Assistance locating John "Klondike" Haines(Haynes)

Anyone aware of a period issue of Klondike? Cabinet, card, ad, anything?

Interesting resume on this fella.

I could not find anything at all in my files on him, which is kind of strange.

I feel like I've seen a Police Gazette Supplement of him at some point, but I can't find any evidence that one exists right now.

Or perhaps he was in one of the "Portrait Gallery of Pugilists" type collections from the mid-1890's.

He is an interesting character for sure. There is a picture of him on BoxRec, but cannot find it, or any others through an image search. Thanks for the lead. I'll research the "Portrait Gallery" further. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/40261 *edited to add that his career started after 1894 so not sure he'll be included. At least not in the series I'm familiar with.

Yeah, might not be in that, though there are a few different versions of it put out through the years, including in more condensed periodical type volumes, and I don't think all of those made it into the final larger book.

Probably a better chance there's a Police Gazette supplement floating around somewhere. I swear I remember some sort of supplement using the name "Klondike", but I might just be imagining things in my middle aged brain, LOL.

I think you're right, Dave. That was the first thought I had, something from the Police Gazette.
