Default Trading Block

I've been thinking that a "trading block" thread would be great for this forum. Only qualifications would be a scan (front & back), an approximate trade value, and what you're looking for. Might flame out quick? I value this at $2,000.+ I'll trade this for another Ruth item or Oscar Charleston item.

Excellent idea...and Jeremy I'd love that ruth exhibit!!!!!! I'll offer up this beautiful...scarce 33' blue bird ruth...SGC 5.5...looks better...all I see is tiny bit corner wear. I value it around 6-8K and would prefer to trade it for a green t206 cobb...other ruth cards...32 us caramel ruth/gehrig...e103 cobb/wags...e90-2 wags. I also have a 1921 exhibit for a bigger deal.

Low grade but good looking Cobb, small scratch on case as seen.

Value ~$850-1000

Would ideally like to trade for similar value 32 US Caramel Cobb or toward lower grade M116 Cobb or 34 Gehrig Goudey with cash added.

Would also consider t205 or M116 Johnson, Matty, Young or T206 Matty White Cap or Lajoie batting.

PM if any interest

I'd like to trade this 1905 Carl Horner cabinet of Harry Barton for an N173 cabinet or a Harry Stovey OJ. Art Whitney with Dog would also do the trick. PM me if interested in working something out:

Want to get the ball rolling for a t206 Cobb bat off shoulder or Young portrait. Rare backs welcome too. Planning on getting the Cobb graded this week.

Not sure why these threads don’t get the love they deserve

My guess is the fact that we’ve only seen 4 figure cards may have something to do with it.

I’m referring to the actual utilization of a trading block, not necessarily the value associated with each individual card. Also if someone wants to pay me 4 figures for the Lundgren, deal

I would guess that there are some members here who are card rich & cash poor. That's why I started the thread. Even if one trade is made, I'd consider it a success.

OK, I'll take a shot in the dark. I'm sitting on about 35 PSA graded 1933 Goudeys, waiting for a special at SGC to cross. Most aren't nearly valuable enough to cross at $30. I know, I know. I may be waiting for a long time. I'd like to trade them for SGC graded equivalents. There are a few hurdles to this, such as agreeing on condition, etc., but if I can trade even one card it would be worth the effort. Here they are.

Number Player TPG Grade
37 Jimmy Wilson PSA 2
39 Mark Koenig PSA 3
48 Marty McManus PSA 2
50 Ed Brandt PSA 2.5
54 Ray Kremer PSA 2.5
57 Earl Clark PSA 3.5
58 Lefty O'Doul PSA 4
60 Waite Hoyt (HOF) PSA 4.5
62 Pepper Martin PSA 3.5
69 Randy Moore PSA 3.5
71 Robert J. Burke PSA 3
81 Sam Jones PSA 3
84 Glenn Spencer PSA 3.5
87 Frank O'Rourke PSA 4
91 Tom Zachary PSA 3
93 John Welch PSA 4
98 Walter Berger PSA 4.5
99 Tony Cuccinello PSA 4
105 Bernie Friberg PSA 4
115 Cliff Heathcote PSA 2.5
116 Eddie Morgan PSA 3
135 Woody English PSA 3
136 Flint Rhem PSA 3
165 Joe Sewell (HOF) PSA 4
174 Warren Ogden PSA 4
190 Fred Schulte PSA 3
200 Bill Hallahan PSA 3
214 John Kerr PSA 3
215 Russel Van Atta PSA 3.5
217 Frank Crosetti PSA 4
221 Dale Alexander PSA 4
228 Tony Piet PSA 3.5
230 Carl Hubbell (HOF) PSA 3
233 Johnny Vergez PSA 3

PM me if interested and I'll send scans. Thanks, Chad

I'll post a cheap card. I just got a lot of T205's on the BST, and in it were some extra T205 Doyle's with Polar Bear Reverse.

I'll trade either of these Doyle's for another similar T205 or T206. I have about 100 T206's and 70 T205's, but if I already have a front, I still want your card if it's back is different than what I have, so I need the vast majority of cards still. Anyone want to do a poor trade?

If I were working on a T205 set, I would take the one on the right.

Diamond Match unopened cello with Waner and Bottomly:

Will trade for any raw 1933 or 1934 Goudey or 1933 DeLong HOFer I need (which is most of them, actually). Would also consider a slabbed card but with an eye towards busting it out.

This is a 1955 Rodine BBHOF premium (from a paint company):

So rare it is obscure. Would swap for any other Rodine premium or PC, but since that is not too likely to happen, I would also trade it for a decent looking decal mini-bat HOFer, especially Eddie Collins. Or for that matter a decent looking T205 Eddie Collins (closed mouth).

Any of the above are also available for (shot in the dark here) any D & K PC from the boxing series pre-1907 or any Jimmy Britt PC or cabinet I don't have. Would also consider a cabinet or some RPPCs of Willie Ritchie.

Default T205 Matty

FT: T205 Matty, Sovereign back, SGC 4.

Looking to trade for similar items on my want list at
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=227775

Especially Young, Cobb, or Joss from that list, or certain Drum/Hindu backs.

I have a bunch of other T205s available for trade here:
https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=303169

Can equalize with cash as necessary. Prefer to trade rather than sell at this time.

I’ll try, bought a couple of these cards, advertising calendar tops in the late 1990’s. Value at that time was around $500.00 each. I’m sure value is much more now. Have never seen another sale since. 25 years. They are listed in a book. ‘Baseball Treasures’ printed in 1992. Cards are circa 1909. Picture of card & inside book. Need one of these N172 Detroit players. McGlone, Rooks, Wheelock, Gilligan, Lady Baldwin, Conway, Deacon White. Long shot, but trying. Cards are 4.25” x 6.75”. Thanks Joe.
