Default Is it me, or are these borders thin?

Seller will occasionally put up 1940 Play Ball, been tempted to bid on a couple in the past, specifically Casey Stengel and Spud Chandler, but something about the cards rubs me the wrong way. Looks like the corners are more clipped than rounded and the borders are awfully thin.
