I was happy to be able to trade for this at the LCS last week. It may technically be a June pickup, but since the new thread has been started I'll just put it here.

It has some hidden flaws, but I can’t complain about the presentation overall. It’s also strangely tall, by about 1/16 of an inch - and will not fit into a standard One Touch mag case.

Nice additions this month boys, keep them coming. Picked up the Willie Mays example of the 1976 Jerry Jonas set on our BST Board about 6 months ago. Because of my interest in the odd ball pieces been on the lookout for the Koufax from this set, luckily, the entire uncut sheet popped up.

Great looking cards Hugh. I love finding little centered gems like this in the AH weekly auctions.

This 'Great One' - 1981 O-Pee-Chee #106 Wayne Gretzky - is sort of a fish out of (frozen) water, because it's hockey, but as a sharp cornered, early Gretzky card, I think it's cool (like ice, get it?) as heck. And the fact it is an OPC from Canada really brings it home for me!!!

1981Gretzky106PSA9OC.jpg

Virtually every single OPC card I have is centered the same way, so I've come to look at the OC qualifier as the norm rather than the exception.

Very nice Doby auto Sir, and Phil, remembering as a kid opening packs and finding the "Fence Busters" card (man I`m old). Beautiful Banks as well. Keep them coming boys.

Just picked this up in my quest to complete the 1953-55 Dormand set. Set will be all SGC and my current grade rate is 5...so this fits. I wouldn't buy something already graded PSA or any other company but some examples don't come up very often and was excited to get a crack at Enos, and got a really great deal. It will be popped and subbed here soon. I really do love the way these look in an SGC slab...

Nothing too serious but it is my 3rd Walker Cooper card now. A rather tough one it seems to find centered.
The description read "creased" but since I liked the centering better than my other 2, I took a chance based on the fact I couldn't see it in the scan.
Upon arrival, I noticed a small indent on the reverse (right side looking) that barely comes through to the front and looks more like someone may have rolled something very thin over it like a pizza cutter for about an 1/8th-1/4 of an inch? I guess the description scared many off as I got it for a great price, imo, so I am real happy about that.

Love those Berk Ross cards. Great examples.

Gotta share this photo. The 4 is the new July pickup. I had seen these two pieces years ago and dreamed of finding one of them. When the opportunity came to get them both together I jumped at it. I am fairly certain these are the two finest signed 1953 Topps Mantles on earth

I call this:
Grafternoon Delight - feeling like you commited a crime, because you won a card at such a low price only because of the early, extremely-low-traffic time of day the auction ended.

It wasn't too long ago when I finally grabbed one of these awesome 1964 Koufax cards (showing him in action before 'in action' was a thing) in PSA 8 OC shape. Well, I was happy to get another one for a lot less than what the last few (with similar centering) went for, probably because the auction ended early in the day when no one was watching...

Default 1959 Bazooka's with Tabs!

Just got these two 1959 Bazooka's with tabs back from PSA. These are two of only six ever graded by PSA with tabs. Both of these are 1/1 and highest graded with tabs

Still have others of the SP's all with tabs to get graded which I expect some will get higher grades like Colavito, Sievers, Drysdale, Banks, Cerv, Fox, Jensen, Kuenn, Snider, Triandos, and Wertz

Will all find their way to an auction house or will be sold at the National

Only a $4 card, but Brooks is Brooks and he puts me at complete for the first 6 series, still got a lot of highs to get in. 1972 is probably the most expensive set to complete card by card vs. buying a full set, among the vintage Topps base sets.

I skipped my Heritage wax last year due to the print inflation and resulting horrible odds as $ inflation increases cost, but those horrible odds have sunk the secondary market prices and I got a full run of hobby boxes for like half of retail. 3 regular, 2 high number and 2 minors should produce full base sets and a majority of SP's. It's the closest I can come to ripping vintage packs, as nobody is selling 7 boxes of 1972 Topps in my price range. It's a 1972 day! Love the very 70's design. 70-72 and 75 I like, the rest of the 70's not so much.

Just under the gun for July with this Mays! Probably my favorite card and design of the 50's, the TV aesthetic is very nostalgic and the woodgrain is beautiful, not to mention the iconic Mays photo.
