Default Highest Graded Cobb in Your Collection

I may have had a personal breakthrough in my ability (inability) to post scans. Here goes:

I like this card for a number of reasons; First, it comes from the somewhat elusive Rogers Peet set, features Cobb in a rare fielding pose and shows him in an A's uniform, without the familiar D.

Peter, this sounds like a dialogue from a Noel Coward play.

Those are great, John

Scott's W600 will take the cake in this thread...

and a ton of nice Cobby's otherwise...

Not too high of a grade here, but nice looking for the grade (as they say)...
The wrinkle looking blemish on the lower right is only a paper scratch, same look though
.

Nice ones, Jay!

And great cards in this thread otherwise, also.

To me this one looks like it could be a grade higher. And I will take this kind of miss cut every day and twice on Sunday. Thanks Tony and the BST!

Absolutely love Threads like this. Great to see all those fantastic Cobb's. Mine is nothing much, but it's the only one I have (for now). Solid registration and deep color...I personally don't think it was trimmed at the top, but SGA did (shrug).

You should educate yourself on the good things he did instead of believing "stories", the hospital he started and funded for his community is now one of the Largest health care providers in the area, not to mention the letter writing campaigns to get his peers in the hall of fame, unbeknownst to them. Also the financial support he provided for his teammates when they were down on their luck.
But I'm sure he's just "racis" like the pearl clutching sjw crowd wants to portray him...

I hate to engage with Snowman but even a modest attempt at research would help catch you up to speed on Cobb’s actual story.

You've likely been duped by the sensationalistic media, especially by Cobb's ghostwriter, Al Stump, who made up wholesale lies about him to help sell copies of the book. Charles Leerhsen, on the other hand, did some very thorough research, which led him to the truth of Ty Cobb, and the publishing of "Ty Cobb - A Terrible Beauty."

Default Highest Graded - Ty Cobb

At PSA 8, this 1907 H.M. Taylor team card is actually the highest graded of any "1907" Ty Cobb rookie card - single or team. The last I looked, his highest "single" graded card from 1907 is a seven (7). Note that the postcard does have an undivided back, indicating it was produced in early 1907 (I also have a "divided back" version of this card that is postmarked later in the year - 8 Oct 1907)

Here is my 1914 T330 Piedmont Art Stamp...I don't think any Cobb has been graded higher...it has a Factory 42 back...it was already graded by SGC when I bought this in 2005 in a catalog auction...since I had not seen another in such high grade I was curious to see what a PSA 5 Cobb stamp would bring 15 years later in a 2020 catalog auction... I think it had a Factory 25 back...so I followed the auction and was pleasantly shocked to learn that the high bid was $21,000 but was $25,200 including the 20% buyers premium...but even that price was before sales tax (which is 3-7% except for a few states that have no sales tax), or shipping, handling and insurance...so the total paid was very likely $26,000-27,000!!...and I felt I may have paid too much for mine when I wrote a check on my home equity line of credit for it...it was a major purchase for me at that time as I could certainly count on both hands the hobby items I had ever bought in excess of $1,000...times sure have changed.
