Sometimes you have to buy a whole lot to get the one book you want. Anyone want to guess as to the key title for me in this lot? |

I'm not sure Max, but I sure would like to see the cover of the one titled "Our baseball Club". |

Yep, that's what I thought it was. If I had to guess I would gues it's one of the two books that I can't read the title on. I'll guess the Red book at the front of the books standing up? |

Nah, it's the blue dust jacketed book, second from the top of the horizontal pile. It's a 1941 book, The Missouri Clipper by Morris Longstreth. I have only seen 4 copies of this book in my years of collecting, and this is only the second dj'd copy I've seen (that said, 2 will probably show up on ebay next week) |

Max if you don't mind me asking what did you end up paying for this lot- I thought that it looked like a good deal but was bidding on the Palmer lot right next to it and didn't have any money to spare- by the way did you think that it was odd that leland's seemed to hide two valuable books i.e. Changing Base and Our Championship in a the lot |

I think it went for $330 plus juice. Changing Base and Our Baseball Club should both sell for more, and I hate to think what I'd pay for the dj copy of Missouri Clipper. |

Collect Black Sox Team premiums; matted and framed to 18 x 25". Also collect the Baseball Magazine premiums. These are the best! |

I picked this up not knowing much about it. Is it really from 1921 as the seller suggested? At any time, did they insert/distribute sport or non-sport cards with their product? Thanks! |

Hi Joe, Yes they are from the early part of the 20th century and no, no cards were placed in those packs. |

Nice fun pack that never held cards. While the company produced the brand as early I think as 1900 or so, your pack dates from 1951 or 1953 - I could be more specific but out of the five pix the one I really needed wasn't totally posted:-). I can just make out the number 121 or 123 on the upper half of the tax stamp (121-1951-you get the drill). As for the 1921 copyright date it's only the date relating to the design of that particlar package or more likely the design. Thanks for sharing though as it helps everyone and it's still a neat pack....... |

Anyone know if I got a decent deal on this blotter? I collect primarily T206 cards but spotted this and just thought it was cool. $27 a few weeks ago. I'm hoping it's authentic. Don't know why someone would go to the trouble of faking a blotter. But I guess stranger things have happened on ebay. Anybody know anything about baseball blotters? Are there a lot of them out there? I'm new to vintage memorabilia. Would love to start a collection and I think this is a cool board and a great way to learn. Don't even know what I want to collect. Guess it's like that old definition of obscenity. I'll know it when I see it. Sorry the thing's sideways. My scanner gives me fits sometimes. |

Thanks. I think it's cool looking. And if it is a fake, I'm only out 27 bucks. It was worth a Chance -- so to speak. |

Just picked up this postcard postmarked 1910. The postcard correspondance is even about the team pictured. Purportedly Stanton Nebraska football team, maybe Dan can chime in on this? |

Thanks Dan. I thought it was a cool image and the best part was that the correspondance seemed to actually be about the team pictured. I take it your focusing on Nebraska baseball items only, for the time being? |
