Default Ronald Reagan's 1955 White Sox Press Pass

$2500 or best offer shipped via paypal services, check or money order.

Up for your consideration is quite possibly one of the most unique political/baseball crossover items we have ever had the pleasure of offering to the public.

We have available for you today, a one of a kind, Tampico, Illinois native, former president of the United States, Ronald Reagan 1955 Chicago White Sox Press Room Pass.

This Press Room Pass is in MINT condition.

This pass dates 26 years prior to his 1981 presidency, so how or why would he be in the White Sox press room?

Ronald Reagan, actually broadcast sports from 1932 to 1937 for the Chicago Cubs and White Sox baseball games, as well as the Iowa and Notre Dame football games and assorted other events.

Reagan was a die hard Chicago sports fan (especially baseball) and even played the role of Grover Alexander in the 1952 film "The Winning Team".

Dutch Reagan, as he was known to listeners, would receive game updates via telegraph and then, accompanied by sound effects, bring the action to life with a vivid description of the details.

In one famous instance, the telegraph feed went down in the ninth inning of a tight ballgame, forcing Reagan to improvise on the spot. With no updates forthcoming, Reagan anxiously described the action as Augie Galan battled Dizzy Dean in an epic batter/pitcher confrontation.

Foul ball after foul ball was broadcast to the audience until the telegraph messages finally resumed.

The best part was.... Galan popped out on the first pitch.

This is a truly remarkable artifact from Ronald Reagan and a must have for any serious Reagan, White Sox, Political, or baseball collector.
