Default October pickups.

Ah, senility. Put these in September pickups and then realized it's October. Also, sorry for the poor resolution on the M101s. My fault. Batting a 1.000 today:

I picked these puppies up in early summer (thanks Jim) but posting them now. I think the Cobb is my favorite pose, hopefully one day I'll get my hands on a graded one!

Purchased last month but now scanned. Card is mislabeled--should be 1921.

September pick-ups, or October? Pre-WWII cards or Memorabilia? We're too happy with this ordered-and-delivered in September,
picked up only today, set of rare game cards to think about which thread in which subforum.
Behold! Base Ball ~ The Modern Card Game (1921, Schulz Amusement Card Co). The same image of Heinie Groh from the W573 set
graces the card backs. We're still missing the box and scoreboard, but in more than thirty years, we've seen only one other complete
set of the cards.

Default Upgrades

..upgrade from "poor-fair-beater" "place-holder" "collector-grade" "acceptable" "filler" to almost close-to somewhat possibly ( generously ) " good "...... these are not cheap for some reason......1936 Goudey R-314 'wide pens' Premiums......they do not have that little " Litho In USA" down in the lower right corner so that identifies them as "Type Two"

This is not pre-war, but there is no place for me to post it...

Despite my complaining about Ebay, I've picked up some truly exceptional deals in auctions. I am very proud of this, its easily NM in my opinion, and I paid well below recent sales.

Default 1932 Minneapolis Millers Set

"Eddie Sicking" , "Ray Fitzgerald 1932"....... ignore the flip ; everybody gets these wrong about 50% of the time...... the only one I'm missing now is "Pea Ridge Day" , who possibly had the saddest life of any ballplayer in the thirties , up until the death of Willard Hershberger and the diagnosis of Lou Gehrig...

Default Not high dollar by any means, but rainbow completed!

Thanks to Sterling, was able to finally finish this '41 Goudey "Rainbow" of Al Todd with 4 similar grading clean copies. Not really expensive, but a clean copy of the red background proved to be very elusive for me, took way longer than I thought. I'm still amazed at how many of these '41 Goudeys were mis-cut.

Finally getting Ed Walsh and Mordecai Brown back from SGC after a 92 day wait on a 20 day submission. Thanks Mike Peich!!!

I sold a card that did well in LOTG. Used some of my winnings to finally pay for Tris Speaker. Thanks Jim Van Brunt.

Stay tuned folks!!!

I'm so impressed with all the stuff that has been posted so far this month. Personally, I'm not in a position to join in...more inclined to sell off...but I appreciate those who can...and shop well...which you all seem to do.

Congratulations to all!

Congrats on the T3. That is just how a T3 should look. Even the more rare no offer back to boot.

Default 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson

The answer is, yes...I still buy cards from PWCC. Glad they had six 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinsons ending at the same exact time too
