Default Pete Rose Auto Rookie

Pete Rose was in town signing autographs and our local paper posted this pic on their website. He is signing my card...which is super cool... but the autograph itself is less than I hoped for. It is barely legible. He was very interested in how much I paid for it and also how many "10's" were available. Said he hasn't seen one of his rookie cards for years. Thought I would share.

You had him sign it on the slab and not the card, right? That's what it appears. Ive seen others do this and dont think sigs ever look good on the slabs. I collect signed rookie cards, all on card. Ive yet to get a Pete Rose though. But still, cool experience! Congrats

Yes. wasn't going to break it open for the auto. He was taken aback by the card. Says he hasn't seen one forever. Had a photographer shoot the signing. Didn't know at the time that it was an Indystar photographer. As said earlier, he wanted to know value and availability. I respect Pete...but was kind of sad to see him signing autos in a mall for:
$59 Ball
$89 Bat, Helmet or Jersey

Are you selling this card? This is the B/S/T forum but I don't see a price. Maybe this was meant to be posted in Postwar.

Very cool either way!

No problem. I'm sure Leon will move it when he sees this. Again, very cool. I like having RCs of HOFers signed but not the rare high grade ones.
