Default Auction House for Negro League Photos

I’m considering selling these two photos to fund another purchase. REA sold another copy of the Paige for 10K last year. It’s signed and dated to 1941 which is earlier than the REA photo. I have not ever seen another copy of the Charleston photo sell. What auction house would you use for photos like this? I’m trying to decide between REA, Heritage, and Lelands. Obviously this is a big decision so I’m looking for opinions. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

Honestly all 3 very good and I really don’t think you would get a significantly different result at any of them.

My apologies if I complicate this, but have you already ruled out RMY, Love of the Game, and Memory Lane?

I suppose not. I have been exchanging emails with RMY on some other photos. I have purchased photos from RMY but haven’t consigned with them to date. I’ll wait to see how my current efforts with RMY pan out. The other two I haven’t used before.

Personally I choose REA or Heritage for everything I sell and for probably 70% of what I buy from AH's. I've never had an issue with either buying or selling.

For Negro League items, I would also seriously consider Hakes. I think that every major Negro League collector keeps a close eye on Hakes. No one has sold more Negro League items than Hakes (to the best of my knowledge).

(I am not affiliated with them in any way, but am constantly checking their Negro league items.)

+1000. People throw out names of good AHs who sell probably one negro league photo every 3 years. Hakes has sold many amazing Black Ball photos in last 2 years.

Ditto Hakes. Amazing Negro League selection over last 5-8 years. Much from one collection but prices they achieved were so strong. They're a top notch organization in business for 40+ years too............
