Were all those T205 source photos found together? If so, where?

note that if you go to the on-line Library of Congress Prints and Photographs, and search on Paul Thompson, you will see the Matty and Collins photos and all the other close up c1910 face shots - identical to the above posted photos scratch for scratch. You can download them in hi-res.

Also there are a bunch of other c1910 potraits that may have been used for cards. Many were used in the 1911 Spalding Guide.

T205's are from the LOC...cool to frame with your original Gold borders. The rest are a combination of news and wire photos, original photos, and some copy negs. Has there been any definitive book that features "photos that made the cards"?

I had always thought that the "open mouth" variations on the T205s were done first and then, perhaps due to people not wanting to look down ball player's throats, they were later updated to close the mouth. However, that seems to be incorrect from these photos. Since all of these contemporary photos were used as the basis for T205s, we now can assume the initial version of the cards were the closed mouth versions and later the mouths were opened (or, less likely, perhaps 2 poss of those players were issued initially?).
