Really nice items! I don’t have it, but I’ve also seen a yellow version of the ‘66 WS horn that has the same setup.

Baltimore Orioles Memorial Stadium Aisle Markers
Day 84 – 25 March 2024
I have shown some of these before but thought to show again. I really enjoy the memorial stadium aisle markers. These were placed in the concrete steps to mark the seating row. The upper deck version is slightly thinner, less weight. The lower seating area had a thicker version and it was heavier. As you see, I have several key ones relating to the numbers of our Hall of Famers (4 Weaver, 8 Ripken, 22 Palmer). The 6 is for Blair, 7 for Belanger, and 19 for McNally but I paid for Unitas (ha!). Would love to find #33, #20 and of course #5. These make great displays and can be pricey. Hard to find, too. |

Baltimore Orioles License Plates
Day 85 – 26 March 2024
I really enjoy the Oriole license plates. Today, I am showing you some from the 1954 season (top), 1966 WS Champs and I think the black block letter version is from the 1950s/60s. The top two are 12 inches long while the smaller black one is about 6 inches or so. These make great displays, are not easy to find and can be pricey. I am always looking for the orange thinner “It can be done in 61” license plate. I know of two out there but can’t convince them it would look better on my wall than theirs. Ha! Is anyone aware of a license plate for 1969, 1970 or 1971 WS? I will show other plates tomorrow. |

Baltimore Orioles License Plates
Day 86 – 27 March 2024
As a continuation of yesterday, here are some license plates from recent years. The top one I like because it is still in the original packing material. This one is about 6 inches long and I think from the 1980s or 1990s. The middle one is a favorite celebrating our 1983 WS championship. It is 12 inches long. The bottom one I think is from the 1990s or so and measures 12 inches. Has anyone seen a plate for 1979 WS? |

I really like the plates although I have none. The 54 and 83 are my favorites.

You have some great looking displayable O’s items. Of course you “need” this example; hopefully the other person will give it up 😎.

Mike Cuellar 1972 Esso Oil Latin American Foundry Example
Day 87 – 28 March 2024
One of my favorite Oriole pitchers from the 1970s was Mike Cuellar. I often think him and McNally don’t get enough respect outside of us old timers that remember their greatness firsthand. Brooks annd Cuellar did a lot of damage together over the years to AL teams…post season, too. Anyway, today I am showing you a very unique piece from 1972 made of solid brass and weighs 2.6 pounds and measures 8 inches. It is about a quarter inch thick. This is a foundry template for a 1972 Esso Oil Latin American player coin. I believe 7 latin players (Oliva, Marichal, Aparicio, Cedeno, Cuellar, Millan, Montanez). The players were celebrated with a coin handed out at the Esso Gas Stations in Puerto Rico. I was lucky to find this one, which I mounted on an orange circular board. Surprised to see Clemente was not part of this grouping. When I received my Cuellar, it was pretty raw but after some time with some “cleaners” I got it to shine. I am also showing you the actual coin graded in a PSA slab. I really enjoy the “Miguel” Cuellar version. |

Day 88 – 29 March 2024
Today I am showing you my 1971 Brooks Robinson Salesman Sample with pants along with some other items I will address over the next few days. I was lucky to find the Salesman Sample recently and am very happy with it. It is a Rawlings double knit, size 44. I believe it was for the 1971 WS and with the same collection is a uniform for Rennie Stennett from the Pirates. The jersey has a flat cut tail with B. Robinson on the back along with #5. The first initial was due to Frank Robinson being on the team but not for long as he was traded after the 1971 season. This would be the first year for the Orioles wearing a knit uniform. The pants have a zipper fly with pockets in the back. They are pretty small. |
