OK folks ...piece by piece I am going to let the proverbial cats out of the bag....so as not to dominate the board with posts/threads......I will first of all say that it was Tom Bobblit that found this card but I own it.....He was walking the floor and and came across some caramel cards. He asked to see them and when he turned them over found that BOTH were overstamped. The dealer didn't really care, obviously. One had a scarce but well known Opie Dildock overprint and the other (the one I kept and Scott is still remorseful about) had the OH YOU FAN ! overprint.....according to Lew Lipset, Terry Knouse Sr. and Jr, Kevin Struss, Peter Calderon, and several other experts, they have never seen one...I will post a pic in the very near future.....best regards (good thing I am not on the phone much today as I am still hoarse from yelling at 2am in the morning partying witht the guys)

Oddly enough, Pete had been walking the floor looking for caramels and I just happened to see the cards and though they were plain VG-EX to EX E94's. The guy told me a slightly high price for the pair, so I asked to see the back which he initially described as 'clean'. When I saw them, I immediately paid the price. Anyway, half an hour later, after a very fair offer, they had a new home. Leon owes me a beer at the National next year............wish I'd found a few more!

If you don't mind, what did you pick up the pair for? Just curious, you lucky dog. Can't believe Pete missed them, I bet he went in to convulsions when you showed him

Tbob,

Hey, I missed them because I was looking through stacks of T207s for you. Just kidding.

There were 1000 tables so cut me a little slack.

I'm getting my head back into "normal life" mode and like Leon a little hobbied out right now. I'm preparing my National report as well as a page about the forum dinner.

Need to spend a little quiet porch time.

After meeting Scott & Leon I know I couldn't have missed out on those cards to a better pair of guys.

I'm happy for both of them.
