Default It's the year of the Leap Day...show your cards of ballplayers leaping

Here's some to start things off. I think there used to be a colony in Hawaii for such cards.

In an effort for inclusion, so that the T206 crowd doesn't feel left out, I am sharing a pair of leaping (we assume that's what he is doing) McQuillen lizards, and let's get non-basebally with a T218 as well.

A powerful leap! The back of Ewry's T230 notes that he was "almost a chronic invalid" before he began athletic work.

Great thread! I'm a big fan of cards that show a player completely airborne. Here's a 1934 Batter Up (likely produced in 1936) of Phil Cavaretta, who was just a teenager at the time, defying gravity.

I always think of these two used in the Topps 1956 cards. These were the "in action" photo in the background.

Here's an E92 Magee that fits the bill

Assuming Brian's Oakes to start the thread was an E90-1, here's Rebel leaping on the E92 Nadja Caramels version:

Nice cards, guys.

If we're letting some postwar stuff in on this one, someone should have the '51 Topps Connie Mack of Honus to post... maybe?

As per your request, here's the 1951 CM All-Stars card of Wags. Also, Speaker's card in this set shows him sort of leaping. I no longer have these 2 cards - they were sold via REA last year.

Two frog-like subjects for you:

1. Leaping Dave Frishberg, writer/musician for "Van Lingle Mungo," as well as Eddie Basinski, one of the players he named therein.

2. Bigger look at the original Ebbets Field wall seen behind 1956 Clemente.

The 1958 Topps football set has some great leaping images, and this one of McHan has been a favorite of mine for a long time.

Rebel Oakes leaping is such a classic image, definitely on my checklist. And Davids Mantle/Clemente images are classic, never get tired of seeing them.
Great stuff, keep it coming.

Found a new-to-me leaper, OF Bob Nieman of the Orioles. Check out that water hose stretched across the warning track! Hope he landed safely from the jump.

Probably hand cut, somewhat. Or just ripped, hard to tell!
