It is the same card.

I didn't think it could be since that was just the other day... but it is.

Either Hunt Auctions was being very cautious in making the card out to be worse than it really is...

or PSA disagrees with Hunt Auctions in regard to the "trimming" issue.

Then again, Hunt Auctions did specifically say that any possible trimming was done "in period" (back in 1909)...

so this would explain why an examination of the edges by PSA would NOT reveal and recent trimming.

Philosophically I think it does matter.

I don't mind a card that some 12-year-old trimmed slightly to fit it in his scrapbook in 1909.

I just don't want a card that has been shaved by some unscrupulous dealer in 1987.

Price-wise, apparently, it does matter as well... since PSA has "confirmed" that it was not recently trimmed...

and the price is 100% greater than the recent ungraded hammer price.

"Period trimming", is that like "sheet cut" which was the reason SGC wouldn't grade my M116 Blue Background Bresnahan which looks like an easy 70, maybe an 80?

Please be advised that the following auction:

8725042330 - 1909 T206 GRADED EDDIE PLANK

was ended early by eBay. The auction was ended due to the account suspension of the seller.
All results for this auction are null and void.

That is a DIFFERENT auction.

The EBay # of the pending auction is NOT the same.

To see if the Reserve was reasonable, unreasonable, or just about right.

Here is my way of looking at it:

If I want the card but don't want to spend a penny more than $35,000 for it...

I want to know RIGHT NOW whether I have a shot or whether or not I can spend that $35k elsewhere.

Now that I have been outbid, I am free to shop!!!
