Default Help Identifying Baker Card +

Today, in a collection of mostly non sports cards (mostly Skybirds) I received 2 more of the same cards that the owner and I do not know what series they are from; I already have one more from that same series.

(No time to scan them before this year's National but when I return):

1 is a Baker and the other one is a Schulte; I don't remember what the other one is.

They measure about 1.5 inches by 2.5 inches and have blank backs.
Must be a W strip card of some series that was cut from a strip card panel or sheet?

Player's name is in Caps and the team is initial caps only.

They are attractive cards that display well but still not sure what they are.

The name runs across the bottom about 1/2 inch up from the beige border.

any ideas? I can show them to you at the National if you can help.

Booth 508P Baltimore National August 1 - 5

Best and thanks again for any advice you may offer, Steve

Frustrating post w/o scans, Steve. You had time to measure them and write this lengthy post but not to scan three little strip cards which could have been scanned all together in one pass on the scanner.

My "advice" would be to wait until you have scans to post.

BTW, they sound like W514's.

Good luck at the National.

Christopher

Chris, Sorry , -- but I have never scanned an item before. I am still from the old school. I promise I will learn how to do it when I get back from Baltimore. But nothing like W514s. I know all of the regular suspects. The name is actually 1'2 inch into the picture.

Just wait for the picture.

If I finish getting ready for the show before Monday, I'll see if I can learn it quickly. It's new technology for me.

Steve, no apology necessary.

Everyone here is at the ready w/ ID help but w/o scans, it's just a frustrating guessing game.

I get absolutely mental on the BST side when I see posts for cards w/o clear (or any, for that matter) scans. Or the seller says "scans to be posted later".

In order to BST on the interweb now, a quality scanner has become a prerequisite.

I will certainly stop by your booth (and the others here) to support a fellow Net54er.

Christopher.
