Default Recent sale of 1951 Bowman Mays rc

Last night a 1951 Bowman Mays rookie sold for 2,950 via PWCC. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143720661555 Is this a trend of the current market or a one off sale ?

Personally, I don't trust any PWCC sold prices - too many cases of shilling, sold cards being relisted, etc. Not saying this one was and none of the last couple bidders had a history of bid retractions, but the bidding pattern does look a little funny to me. A bunch of bids in the first 2 days of a 10 day auction up to 90% of the final price?

On the other hand, it is a nice looking card for the grade. And 51 Bowmans are tough to find centered, so maybe someone paid a premium?

I know this card has been running for a while, but IMHO it is the single most undervalued card in post war. Period. Full stop.

Psa 1 for 2200 must be a new record. Again It’s PWCC but it doesn’t look that good it definitely looks like a psa1.
